Joyce is a junior at the Bear Creek School for the 2026-2027 school year. One of her driving passions is using her artistic talent to express her personal identity and foster a sense of community. Since joining the Little Masters Club in 2023, Joyce has accumulated over 200 volunteer hours from weekly tutoring sessions where she teaches English to Chinese students. She also participated in LMC’s Sustainable Bellevue Ambassador program and Chinese 24 Solar Terms Cultural Fairs, where she and her peers raised awareness about climate change, energy conservation, and youth mental health. Beyond LMC, Joyce is currently researching the effect of art therapy on social interactions of Alzheimer’s patients and regularly plays piano for residents at the local memory care center. In the future, Joyce wishes to continue expanding her research and artistic talents to build a stronger sense of community through supporting young students and enriching the lives of seniors.
