Elynn Gu is a sophomore at Newport High School for the 2026–2027 school year. She is curious, thoughtful, and enjoys learning about the people and the communities around her. Through the Heritage & Me program at Little Master Club (LMC), she has developed a passion for interviewing community leaders and an interest in civic engagement. She especially enjoys connecting with people from different backgrounds, collaborating with her team, and sharing meaningful video stories that can inspire other young people. Since joining the LMC in 2024, Elynn has volunteered weekly to teach English to younger students. She has also performed for seniors in nursing homes and participated in cultural heritage programs. Beyond LMC, she is a cross-country runner, long-distance cyclist, and dedicated violinist with SYSO orchestra.
Looking ahead, she hopes to continue exploring the connections among people, science, and society. She also hopes to use what she learns to make a positive difference in her community.
