Eleanor Zhao is a freshman at the Bear Creek School for the 2026-2027 school year. She loves meeting new people and hearing their stories, and she believes that volunteering for the Heritage & Me program is the best way to grow friendships with others while giving back to the community. She volunteers at LMC events starting from 2024 because it's an opportunity to meet new people, gain confidence through public speaking, and contribute her time to something meaningful. Through these events she has begun to enjoy helping others, sharing speeches, and her Chinese culture. Outside of this, she enjoys playing piano and viola during performances or for an orchestra; she also plays sports such as track and badminton. She hopes to continue volunteering for LMC to give back to this community, to learn from them, and to grow through the Heritage & Me program.
